Time to Uninstall Web 2.0 … you heard me right!

Uncategorized No Comments »

Web 2.0 is a term that is being used more often and I personally think it’s a stupid term (and this is not a mis-underestimation). Why? Well it has no real meaning to it, the word could be used to mean almost anything. If there was a word that could mean everything then it would have meant nothing!

Time to wake up here! There is no such thing as a Web 2.0, its the same o’l Web with some social bookmarking features/tagging and AJAX. Nothing new here, it’s no easier making a product today than it was yesterday.

The idea of making everyone “connected” in these so called e-conversations is pretty neat, but will it work in the long end? I doubt it.

What do you think? Am I wrong here? Do you know of any other vague useless terms?

  • How is this possible?

    As some of you might know, we have a speed reading test tool that has become somewhat popular quite recently. This made me think about improving it to add some more study tools along with it.

    The recommended way of learning is NOT recommended

    Educational theory 1 Comment »

    Image is depicting a virtual classroomA feeling of aversion. That’s what I feel when I hear people claim that you could only learn in one specific way, in their way or else your studies could all be in vain!

    This mentality is completely wrong and is refuted by a number of solid facts;

    1. You are unique

    Yes, you are special and unique and that goes for the way you learn as well. Some students have to study in a completely silent area while others tend to feel restrained by such silence.
